Day 6
At first I was apprehensive about this no sugar thing, it just seemed like "No this. No that. No. No. No." However, like many things in life, you've got to choose to look at the positive. In this case, the things we can still eat! I had a wee google and realised its actually not that bad (if you look on the bright side!). But remember - not that bad doesn't mean easy!
Lean meat, fruit and vege, eggs and the like are all still fine - so chicken salad seemed safe. I actually used bagged coleslaw where you add the dressing yourself... but seeing as the dressing had added sugar in it, I left that out. After I popped in a bit of cheese, tomato, and some more carrot, I threw in the chicken! I'm not gonna lie. It seemed dry and boring. Soooo, to shake things up a bit I added lemon juice.
By lunch time at uni I was hungry and I was semi dreading lunch... Yet to my surprise the salad was gleaming! Glistening in the sunshine even! Absolutely delicious!! So I've decided to make it again
Kia kaha team YELLOW! We are almost half way, so the worst is already over
Two random facts:
1) Marmite contains added sugar, while Vegemite does not.
2) Salt and Vinegar chips contain sugar, while Ready Salted do not.
