Elin's Head Shave for CanTeen

$810 of $1,000 goal
Given by 20 generous donors in 7 weeks

This year, I have decided to shave my head to raise money and awareness for the New Zealand charity CanTeen.

Canterbury

Hi! My name is Elin and I am a Year 13 student and Head Girl at Lincoln High School. On September 14th, I have decided to shave my head to raise money for the NZ Charity, CanTeen. CanTeen is a New Zealand organisation that supports young people aged between 13-24 with Cancer. I have decided to support CanTeen with my fundraiser, in order to support teenagers in New Zealand who deal with cancer daily, something a lot of other teenagers don't think twice about. 35% of cancer diagnosis for teenagers, happens in the emergency room - by fundraising for CanTeen, I hope to support CanTeen to establish a method of early diagnosis for teenagers.

This has been something I have wanted to do since I started high school in 2012 when I saw girls in the years above me doing the same to support New Zealander's with Cancer. To me, shaving my head is not only about raising money, but awareness - awareness for all New Zealand teenagers that continue to fight this every day.

Any donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time, and your support x
