Emelia and Charlie's Annual Appeal Week Fundraiser

I've teamed up with Greyhound Charlie (Charlie Bucket) to raise funds for Greyhounds as Pets' Annual Appeal Week.

Appeal Week is GAP's biggest fundraising event of the year, and a donation as little as the cost of a cup of coffee can make a bucketload of difference for a hound like Charlie! That's why I will be giving up my daily cup of coffee for the duration of GAP's Appeal Week, and asking that people sponsor me to do so (whether it be the cost of a cup of coffee for a day, week or a month!). Anyone who knows me will attest to how much I rely on coffee, so this is no easy feat - but I want to show how giving up the cost of something so small in our daily lives can make such a huge impact for hounds who haven't yet found their forever homes.

I've chosen very special boy Charlie to be my four-legged fundraising buddy, you can read more about him below.

To date, GAP have matched thousands of retired racing Greyhounds with their loving, forever homes - and your donation helps with things such as flea & worm treatments, behavioural and physiotherapy consultations, unexpected veterinary costs and collars, leads, beds and crates for foster care.

Greyhounds as Pets aims to find a loving home for every Greyhound leaving the racing industry, so we need your help this appeal week to continue doing that amazing work for special hounds like Charlie.

A bit about Charlie:

Charlie is blind, which means he relies heavily on his sense of smell. He's fun, affectionate, and gentle, but will need someone who can be creative to utilise his sense of smell to help him adjust to life as a pet. You can view his profile here: https://greyhoundsaspets.org.nz/dog/88969/public

Hi! I am Emelia and I am the Marketing Team Lead for Greyhounds as Pets. Working with GAP has given me the most wonderful experience learning about retired Greyhounds and what fantastic pets they can make.
