Auckland
Greyhounds As Pets (GAP) is a national charity rehoming greyhounds that are no longer suitable for racing. Calm and affectionate, greyhounds make great pets for most households including those who live in smaller homes. Your donation funds our rehoming programme including post-adoption advice and support for the lifetime of a pet greyhound.
At GAP we either rehome hounds straight from the three Greyhound Racing NZ kennels (located in Cambridge, Levin, and Rangiora) or we rehome from our nationwide network of volunteer foster homes. Our foster carers gradually introduce the hounds to the big wide world one paw at a time and give them a head start learning what pet life is all about.
Please help us with a donation to continue our work.

Greyhounds As Pets (GAP) Annual Appeal 2024 24 January 2024
Our 2024 Annual Appeal is back! Annual Appeal Week is our biggest fundraising campaign of the year.
Appeal Week not only helps us find more loving, forever homes for retired racing Greyhounds, but it is also a great way for us to connect with our community and potential new adoptees. We really rely on both the funds and awareness that our Volunteers (and their hounds) raise at our Street Appeal each year.
