I am raising funds for a thorough upgrade of the equipment used for Middlemore Hospital Emergency Department.

Auckland

I am a competitive Athlete, who has been Running 4 years competitively, and for the rest of the year I will be using my Major competitions this year to help raise funds for Meningitis & Middlemore foundation emergency equipment and refurbishment.

I am using my position as a Competitive Athlete with many big competitions this year to aim to raise as much money as possible in order to bring new facilities to the Hospital.

The cost of this is something I feel very passionate about so I would really appreciate people supporting me in raising as much money as I can for this Charity.

The Emergency Department is the first line of response and what you will do for the hospital will save lives including and especially for those that present with Meningitis.

Below is a list of equipment that the Hospital needs to raise the money to fund to update;

Life guard trolley:             $7,150

Flow meter oxygen:       $8,148

Dressing Trolley:               $1,230

Computer and monitor: $1,160

Large screen  TV               $1,000

Artery Thermometer:.   $6,293

Distraction Toys for patients       $500

Adult Resuscitation Trolley:.        $18,550

My Sister has had a serious case of Meningitis before and thank god survived, and one of my best friends from back in the UK has had a scare.

Finally please find attached a poster of Elliott, a brave little boy from Rotorua who has had hundreds of operations because of Meningitis. His family was told that there was no hope and that they were sending him to Auckland preparing for the worst, but despite his arm and foot amputations, Elliott is a brave little boy and is still with us.

I would kindly appreciate everybody donating just a little bit of money, every little helps

Daniel Morgan's involvement (page creator)

I am involved because I wanted to use my position as a Competitive Athlete to give something back to the community and Meningitis and the Isolation Unit is something that is extremely close to my heart anyway as my Sister has experienced it previously and recently a friend of mine from the UK.
