Yesterday I made my 38th climb up the Mount so have officially completed the Everest challenge. Thanks to everyone who donated. There is a whopping $58k raised to date which is amazing for a community support organisation. It will make a difference to many peoples lives especially in these tough times with living costs going through the roof.
It was a beautifully calm day yesterday and Tauranga looked peaceful from the top of the Mount.
Because I've enjoyed this so much and am feeling so good I've decided to complete 50 ascents which is another 12, being the height of Mt Ruapehu. I'll almost be a proper mountaineer after that.....lol.
BTW - my Irish-African guide turned out to be hopeless but to be fair, I never got lost.
