Everesting for the Himalayan Trust

Canterbury

A group of cyclist attempting to ride their bikes up a climb fondly referred to as "The Bastard" 19 times during one day until they each accumulate 8848mtrs of climbing, therefore each rider can claim to have Everested that route. All money raised will be donated to the Himalayan Trust - the trust that Sir Ed founded in 1960.

Everesting for the Himalayan Trust's involvement (page creator)

A bunch of keen cyclist who want to attempt what has become known as "everesting" to raise funds for those thousands of people in Nepal who are displaced by the earthquake that hit them in January this year. Sir Ed and the Himalayan Trust started their work in the 1960s helping these people and this money will go towards helping rebuild some of the infrastructure that has been destroyed as a result of the earthquake. More on Everesting can be found at http://www.everesting.cc/
