St John’s Ambulance Service has been around a long time and provides an essential service to our community.
Bay of Plenty
Hi,
I like food and beer a little too much and exercise a little too little... so I thought I could pay it forward to St John’s Ambulance Service, who receive little or no public funding, by participating in the More FM Everest Challenge.
Hopefully I may also lose a little off the middle in the mean time and delay any future need I might have for St John’s services! Services that sometime in our lives someone we love or even we ourselves will rely on.
This is why I plan to do the Mauao 38 times (equal to climbing Mt Everest or so I am told). I hope to be able do some double assents and possibly maybe being able to run from bottom to top as my fitness improves... we’ll see. I would love to see individuals sponsor me 10c (or more) a climb with the real idea that a little from lots could raise some decent moola for St John’s 👍🏼
Thanks in advance... Jason
If St John volunteers can give up a large amount of their own time to help those in need, then I can give up a few weeks of my time and push myself out of my comfort zone to help raise funds to support the charity.
Beautiful day.... 13 March 2021
Firstly I would like to thank my first 3 donors for their generosity.... Phillip, Raechel and mystery donor your contributions are appreciated and help me motivate myself to keep on trucking!
Today the weather is perfect and that means it is hot hot hot!!! However despite this it seemed a bit easier today.... and the cold beverage at the end, perfect 😎
The Mount Everest Challenge is back for 2021. Climb the Mount 38 times in 50 days to raise money for Bay Of Plenty St John Ambulance!
