Ferguson Street Stage at Newtown Fest 2020

Ferguson Street is the freshest stage at Newtown Festival, brought to life by four young Wellington locals with a ton of festival experience. Showcasing some of Aotearoa's hottest punk and alt bands, Ferguson Street Stage boasts a huge range of alternative music. From hardcore and screamo, to viking metal and low-fi noise pop, there's bound to be something for everyone.

Community has always been at the core of punk and alternative music movements. We dream of a community funded stage that is welcoming for seasoned gig-goers and those new to the scene. We are collaborating with volunteer sound engineering and event leadership students from Zeal to give them the opportunity to work alongside experienced artists and event organisers. We need your help to make this happen.

Your tax-deductible donation will go towards covering all expenses needed to get Ferguson Street up and running for its first year. The costs include artist fees, sound technicians, equipment hire, printing and more. Any surplus funding increases the amount we can pay our talented artists.
