A shining calendar highlight, Te Whanganui-a-Tara’s most colourful suburb invites everyone to come along to their favourite street party. From dawn to dusk, the streets are packed with people of all ages, stages, backgrounds, cultures, locals, visitors, whānau and friends. The beloved Newtown Festival brings you more than 420 stalls, 200 artists, 1000 performers, 16 stages, and heaps of activities for the whole whānau.
