FFC Ride 4 KidsCan

Hi All,

Thank you for your support of this fantastic charity and epic ride. Day one was a really long ride 177km from Chch to Geraldine. Despite the forecast we had no rain and meaty tailwinds which made for a real adventure going through the Rakia gorge and stunning scenery. I went a bit out of the comfort zone and was pretty knackered after day one, nothing some food a good sleep couldn't fix. We have an amazing support team helping out the 34 riders each day and its a real team tour.

We have raised collectively around $130k so far and if can get above $150K it means we get another school into the kids can programme.

We have just finished day two in Tekapo. Some really full on head winds welcomed us to Tekapo which made the final hour very tough. Earlier in the day was brilliant going through Fairlie in sunny warm conditions. Getting a mixed bag weather wise but everyone is helping each other out and tired bodies but loving the challenge.
