Kia ora koutou katoa,

On October 18th, I’ll be stepping into the boxing ring to support Mates for Construction charity fight night.

Mates in Construction do amazing mahi, raising awareness around suicide prevention and building strong communities on site, that look out for workers wellbeing when times get tough.

Many of my whānau work in the construction industry, so taking on this challenge is my way of backing them and showing them that I’m right there with them.

This is also a personal fitness challenge for me. As a new mum, learning a new sport and committing to three trainings a week is massive!

It’s tested me, pushed me, and reminded me to put my health and wellbeing first - something I hope every māmā and pāpā can do as an investment to themselves and their whānau’s future!

Raising much needed funds for Mates in Construction, working in the mental health and suicide prevention space

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
