Fighting to Make Otago Kids Dreams Come True

Hi there and welcome to my give a little page. My name is Larna and I am endeavouring to raise funds for Koru Care Otago Charitable Trust.

I will be stepping out of my comfort zone and into the ring in the up and coming Dunedin Casino Pride of the South Charity Fight Night on the 24th of November at the Edgar Sports Centre, for fun, fitness and most importantly for charity.

I am a partner at Webb Farry Lawyers and have been training with NZ Fight and Fitness Academy over the last 7 weeks, with over 70 other corporate contenders, in order to secure a place in the charity fight night.

With selection done and three weeks to go I want to use this time to encourage people and businesses to support Koru Care Otago Charitable Trust by donating through this page.

Koru Care Otago Charitable Trust is an awesome charity that provides a week long holiday opportunity for 12 children in Otago each year, who are suffer from an illness or some form of disability. The children travel to the Gold Coast Australia with the support of a 24-hour a day medical and support team.

If you ask any child if they have dreamed of seeing the likes of dolphins, tigers, koalas and crocodiles and going on huge water slides and theme park rides, I am sure the answer would overwhelming be yes. For the Koru Care Otago children such an opportunity is absolutely a dream come true.

I have worked with children and families in various capacities all of my life and am constantly humbled by the courage and resilience of children. For the Koru Care Otago children this is particularly so as it takes a huge amount of courage for the children to travel, often without their families, to another country and to participate in a range of activities they may never otherwise have experienced.

Each trip costs approximately $30,000, with all of the funding coming from donations and fundraising. Lets get behind this amazing cause that helps children step out of their comfort zone to make a dream come true.
