Our main objective since 1988 is to make dreams come true for Otago young people living with serious illnesses and/or disabilities.

Every year, Koru Care Otago makes dreams come true for Otago children with serious illnesses and/or disabilities by taking them to the theme parks on the Gold Coast of Australia. The experience we offer is educational, fun, personally empowering, and a means of further developing their social and life skills set.

Koru Care Otago is a registered charitable trust which fundraises to provide 12 amazing young Otago people with a weeklong trip of a lifetime. Our goal is to support these young people who would otherwise not have this opportunity to build confidence, create friendships and develop their potential towards becoming valued members of their communities. Some of our young people live with chronic illness, have experienced trauma, may struggle at school or need support to manage everyday activities in their learning and in their social relationships.
