Fighting for a Safe Space for Otepoti Whanau's

Dunedin, Otago

Punch for Purpose is a Corporate Boxing event where each event has been designed to bring people, individuals into a space where there in a 10 week fight camp in preparation to a matched up boxing fight. On November 30, each individual will enter the ring for x3 90 sec rounds of boxing.

This is a Charity event run by the Oteputi Boxing Club where we are given a opportunity to pick a chosen charity.

My chosen Charity is the Otepoti Dunedin Whanau Refuge

Ōtepoti Dunedin Whānau Refuge provides programmes and support for wāhine - women, tamariki - children and rangatahi - youth who are experiencing domestic violence.

Their services range from programmes, group and individual support, advocating for women within the justice system, with police, protection orders, schools and other social and government agencies. They provide safe house refuge for women and whānau who are in crisis.
