We provide a free, safe, and confidential space for those experiencing or exposed to whānau family violence, specifically intimate partner violence. Our focus is on self-empowerment, resilience, confidence, and healing.
Kaitiakitanga: A korowai of protection to care, guide, encourage, and empower our community to live lives free from whānau-family violence.
Manaakitanga: We acknowledge the mana of others through aroha, hospitality, generosity, and mutual respect.
Wairuatanga: We honour holistic wellbeing by walking alongside each person, nurturing hope in their healing journey.
Safe Housing: We provide confidential safe housing for wāhine and tamariki (children) who are at imminent risk of whānau family harm, offering a secure environment where whānau can begin to heal.
Crisis Intervention: Our 24/7 crisis line offers immediate support and intervention for those at risk. We assist with protection orders, navigating the legal system, and providing ongoing support. Our advocates work closely with police, lawyers, and other entities to ensure our clients receive the protection they need.
We offer individual and group sessions and programmes that are trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and whānau-led. These sessions provide support, coping strategies, safety plans, and a confidential space to reflect and process.
ODWR provides a free safe confidential space for those in our community experiencing or have been exposed to whānau family violence, specifically intimate partner violence. We are here to support our community, wāhine and tamariki - children.
