Fundraising for Auckland Refugee Family Trust
Back in 2009 I served with the British Army in Afghanistan, trying to keep the local people safe from the Taliban. Obviously that didn't go as hoped, so now I'm going to try and help some people get out, and safely to NZ.
To encourage everyone to part with some money, I intend to physically push myself for the next week. Starting tomorrow - 25 Aug 2021 - from 8am to 8pm I'll exercise every 30 minutes.
20 pushups, 20 squats and 20 crunches every thirty minutes, for 12 hours, for 7 days.
That's 120 reps an hour.
1,440 a day.
10,080 in a week.
In the immortal words of Bob Geldof "give us your f**king money!" (please).
Thanks to all involved 25 November 2021
You'll all be pleased to know that the final tally was over $4,500, which is now on it's way to help all the evacuees who have made it in from Afghanistan, and continue to arrive. I'd like to give one more big thanks to everyone who donated, your generosity is beyond anything I could have hoped for.
