Bella Powell who is battling Cystic Fibrosis has a miracle drug insight, but needs us too help!

Hi there guys,

This is a fundraiser for Bella Powell, who is battling Cystic Fibrosis, she needs urgent access to the “miracle” drug Trikafta, although this drug is not funded by the New Zealand government so it costs 470K per year.

Bella needs this drug to live a normal life like all of us, without this drug her chances of living to her full extent are compromised. When Bella was 15 she was told she had 2 years left to live, now she is 17, but with the release of the drug Trikafta, she is given a fighting chance, all that is left is for the NZ community to get behind her and give her the chance she deserves, any donation is greatly appreciated, this fundraiser is linked directly to Bella Powell!

My granddaughter has CF, she is 13 and like you Bella she is a strong beautiful teenager. We all hope it will not be long before the drug is available for all CF sufferers in New Zealand.

Dear Bella and Alexandra I understand your journey. My daughter has a rare disease and 30 years ago it was the most expensive drug in the world. We have had to fight long and hard against the "system". Very hard decisions have to be made by health professionals. Blame lies for me in the drug companies that ransom people's lives. Pharmac is merely our gatekeeper with limited resources trying to squeeze out the best for the greatest number. We're just caught underneath all that. All the very best to you both and to all CF sufferers for the long haul ahead. Be kind to yourselves on the way. There are many who understand what it takes to provide the best available care against the odds. I'm here to tell you we did it, we survive and go on. So will you. Kia kaha, aroha Karen
