Help Ka'iulani Beat Neuroblastoma!!!
Waikato
Moana and Manihera Forbes' 2 year old daughter Ka’iulani who is my cousin, was diagnosed with stage 4 high risk neuroblastoma in December 2016. Ka’iulani has a tumour the size of a softball in her abdomen, which has also wrapped around her spine, and is eating her bones. The risks of surgery were too great to proceed with, and she has been undergoing chemotherapy. Unfortunately she hasn’t shown the response that was hoped for and there was no shrinkage to the large tumour in her abdomen and bones.
Her whanau are now fundraising to get her access to treatment overseas that is not available here in NZ with options ranging from $350,000 to $2 million dollars.
My goal is to run a fundraiser each month to raise money for Ka'iulani and her family to help towards her treatment.
I'm involved because I want to help as much as possible to raise funds for my cousin so she can get the treatment she needs to beat this cancer!!
