Fundraising for Maia Health Foundation
Canterbury
Metastatic lung cancer changes lives in an instant — for patients, for families, for everyone who loves them. At Christchurch Hospital units, patients are met with incredible care, compassion, and expertise, but they need more than just treatment — they need hope.
It's been a year since our dear friend's passing, a beautiful young angel that left us too soon at 29 years old. We would like to use this fundraiser as a way to commemorate her life and her appreciation for Christchurch Hospital through its Respiratory Services and the Canterbury Regional Cancer & Haematology Service (CRCHS). We also bore witness to the care of this facility as it supported her throughout her journey.
This cause is deeply personal to us. We’ve seen how powerful it is when a community comes together to support those fighting one of life’s hardest battles. Every donation you give goes directly toward helping patients feel seen, supported, and cared for during a time when they need it most.
Your generosity helps to fund vital research, better care, and the small comforts that make a huge difference in a hospital room. It’s about giving patients and their families more time, more options, and a little more light on their hardest days.
If you can, please donate. Every bit counts. And if you can't donate, sharing this message is just as powerful. Let's stand beside every person facing metastatic lung cancer.
