Otago

My name is Gareth Swete and I am proud to be the Tumuaki of Sawyers Bay School. I have accepted the challenge of the Toss the Boss 2026.

I’m stepping out of my comfort zone because I believe deeply in the power of the Otago Polyfest. To me, Polyfest is a vital anchor for our community that fosters pride, identity, and belonging for our Māori and Pasifika rangatahi.

Seeing our students stand tall on that stage with mana and confidence is worth every bit of the adrenaline. Please donate to help me reach my goal and ensure this incredible celebration of culture continues to thrive for years to come.

Toss the Boss Ōtepoti is back for 2026. This is your chance to step up, have some fun, and contribute to this amazing kaupapa.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
