Participating in The Raine & Horne Big Splash

Rangiora, Canterbury

Hi I'm Lisa, proud to be taking the plunge in place of my mum Kirstyn Barnett.

Our chosen charity this year is Cat Care North Canterbury.

They have been a local cat rescue since 2006 (older than me!).

In March this year, my best friend Buttons passed away. She was 12 years old and the best part of my childhood since I was 6. She was rescued by Cat Care with her three beautiful kittens. After her kittens got adopted she struggled to find a home. That's when she became Buttons Barnett.

Participating in

The Raine & Horne Big Splash

The Raine & Horne Big Splash is a community fundraiser where locals raise funds and take an icy plunge to support Rachel’s House Trust.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
