Rachel's House Trust is a non-profit organization that is committed to the support of young parents.

We aim to be a visible, approachable agency that is equipped to provide practical help, advise, advocacy, counselling, mentoring, connection, education as well as providing material needs. We provide a safe empowering environment where young vulnerable families can plan for a positive future with their babies. We currently support 40 families in our local community. Some of these families have no other support. Help us to have our families become better resourced and equipped and to have a hope and a future!

Use of funds

We want to continue to enhance RHT's ongoing services in giving support to our teenage Mums, babies and dads who come to us from within our community (either through referral or self-referral) who are frequently in extreme need of this support. The funds would be used for operational costs, wages, providing counselling , advocacy and education as well as purchasing resources for our play groups and connect groups.

On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
