George and Brendan's Longest Day Golf Marathon

    Well that was a challenging but very enjoyable day. The Te Anau weather and the golf course were both glorious. We teed off at 5:55am and got through the first 36 holes by 12pm. After a lunch break the afternoon 36 holes were more challenging as the heat and fatigue set in. Some tired boys with sore feet managed to walk over 40km which was harder than swinging.

    Thanks to everyone that joined us on the day, we appreciated your energy and especially thanks to all our generous donors. We are so proud of what we managed to do to help such a lovely family at an extremely challenging time.

  • We are all go for Friday!!!

    With an ok weather forecast (albeit some light rain about) we are all go for Friday! Our starting tee time will be 6am. The plan is to play 36 holes back to back which should allow us a lunch break at 12:30pm. We will play the second 36 holes after this and hope to be finished by 8pm.

    George has been putting in some long days getting around his bee hives in preparation and Brendan will be relying on base fitness and experience 😂.

    Can’t wait for the challenge!

  • Training update

    Thank you to everyone who has so generously made donations so far.

    Brendan and George played 18 holes yesterday morning and came up with some personal challenges for their own donations.

    Triple Bogey or 3 putts = $10 donation

    The dreaded twatty = $20 donation

    Birdie = $20 credit

    Eagle = $50 credit

    We are also looking for a major sponsor for the hole in one $1000 challenge. (*considering the boys have never had one your money is probably quite safe but will add a nice bit of incentive).

    The boys are yet to come up with a format for their 72 hole match for the day to keep it interesting. Details to come.
