George Breakfast is going back2back with DJ's for 28 Hours, raising much-needed funds for Lifeline Aotearoa!
Auckland
In 2021/2022, Rhythm & Vines had to cancel due to the ongoing COVID Pandemic, which meant the normal funds they would raise for Lifeline from ticket sales were unable to be raised and donated, this equated to a loss of around $30,000, an amount that is normally a huge help to the services Lifeline provides Kwis every day, Lifeline also isn't funded by the Government.
Here at George FM we're big on Mental Health and wanted to do our bit to help out, so George Breakfast is going to embark on a 28-hour marathon DJ set, all in the name of raising much-needed funds for Lifeline Aotearoa.
It’s called, George Breakfast’s 28 Hour Give Back 2 Back.
From 6am June 30th, General Lee will DJing until 10am July 1st LIVE on George FM.
He'll be going back to back with a huge selection of DJ’s and together, they'll do their bit for Lifeline Aotearoa.
We’ll need your help along the way, if you're in a position to, please donate now.
Lifeline’s mission is to save lives and reduce distress.
Every day, hundreds of Kiwis are supported by Lifeline’s caring, specially trained counsellors via phone call or text. This includes an average of 15 to 20 people at high risk of suicide.
Every one of these calls and texts are funded by donations – Lifeline’s free, 24/7, confidential service isn’t government-funded.
Other reasons people commonly speak with a Lifeline counsellor are loneliness and isolation, relationship challenges, anxiety and depression.
If you need to talk, free call 0800 LIFELINE or free text 4357.
