Getting on my non-existent bike for JOYYA

  • To all you donors thanks so much

Well, the first Joy ride has come and gone and together we have raised over 20K.

    Amazing ah.

That means because of your generous donation kids in really vulnerable communities will have festivals to go to, sports gear to share in the parks, craft gear to create with and fun events to participate in making their colourful communities a bit more fun and exciting.

So on behalf of those communities thank you. You all dug deep and made this world just a little bit better.

    Well done.

    John

  • DID IT!

Today (on the final day of Joy Ride - nothing like leaving things until the last minute!) I biked to the supermarket to get some kai - a journey that I would normally drive. I survived. I even took a selfie at the bike racks (which I'm sure is what all the pros do).

Thank you to everyone who sponsored me - I did a really small thing, but your support will make a really big difference to kids in Kolkata. Ngā mihi maioha.

Step one in me getting on my nonexistent bike for Joyya was to get an actual bike! Stoked that Helen very kindly lent me her bike just over a week ago - now to actually get on it! Thank you so much for your generous donations so far - every bit goes towards bringing joy to kids in India 💛
