The Central Plateau Scooter Challenge involves riding a 49cc scooter from Whanganui to Taupo via Bulls and the Desert Road. 266km at 50km/h!!
The challenge is fund raising for Camp Quality to assist kids with cancer. As we all know it is horiffically expensive and stressful. So this is a means to help the kids have fun at no cost to the family and reduce their stress for a short time at least

My good mate Will and I are riding the challenge on vintage 49cc mopeds. It will be a long and tiring affair, but we are up to the challenge, hopefully the bikes are as well :)
