Going the Extra Mile for Mental Health

Pushing my body to the limit to prove there's always a way forward -120km in 24 hours for youth mental health.

Tauranga, Bay Of Plenty

Hey, I’m Jordan Davison. I’m a real estate agent based in Tauranga, but outside of property, I’ve found something that’s shaped my life: endurance running.

This September, I’m taking on the Blue Lake 24-Hour Ultra, aiming to complete 20 laps of a 6km course, 120km in total with around 2,000 meters of elevation. It’ll be the furthest I’ve ever run, and it won’t be easy. But that’s the point.

Over the last few years, physical fitness has been a rock for me — helping me push through some dark patches in my own mental health journey. Running became a way to rebuild, to find success on my own terms, and to break the mental barriers that held me back.

That’s why I’ve decided to use this race to raise funds and awareness for I Am Hope — an incredible organization supporting young Kiwis with access to free counselling and real help when they need it most.

I’m aiming to raise $2,400. $100 for every hour I’ll be out there running. Your donation will go directly toward giving someone hope when they feel like they have none.

If you can give, I’d be incredibly grateful. And even if you can’t, a kind word, a smile, or simply sharing this page can go a long way. Let’s make a difference — together.

Thanks for the support. Let’s run for something bigger.

Jordan.

Massive Thank you!  1 October 2025

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who donated to this great cause. My target was $2,400 and thanks to your generosity we actually went $20 over!

The run itself was incredible. The weather couldn’t have been much better and I managed to cover 115km over 19 hours before the body finally gave out. That left me just 5km short of my goal, but I’m stoked with the result and grateful for the journey.

Once again, thank you to everyone who contributed. Your support means so much, not just to me, but to all the youth this money will go towards helping.

Until next time,

Jordan Davison
