Grace Thomason's Hair Cutting
Grace is cutting her hair short and donating it. Please support and encourage her by making a donation to the Cancer Society.

Last year one of Grace's Guide Leaders raised funds for the Cancer Society by cutting her hair off as part of the Cancer Society's Annual Shave for a Cure Appeal. The Guide Leader also donated her hair to be made into a wig.
This inspired Grace to want to cut her hair short and donate her hair to be made into a wig.
Grace has continued to grow her hair longer to ensure that it has reached the required length for donation.
Grace has always had long hair. A few times she has been tempted to cut it short but has always backed out at the last minute BUT now it is long enough and Grace is ready to have it all cut off - she's ready for short hair!!! Grace is booked to have her hair cut on Thursday 16 July.
Along with donating her hair so someone else can have 'hair', we thought that it was a great opportunity to raise funds to support all the amazing work that the Cancer Society does.
All money donated will go straight to the Cancer Society Canterbury West Coast Division to provide free support services and information for people affected by cancer and their families. One in three New Zealanders will be affected by cancer in their lifetime. The Cancer Society receives no direct Government funding, and rely on local community support to provide free services to anyone with any cancer.

Grace has been so blown away by the donations people have made and the encouragement that she has received.
Grace thought that she might raise $150. She was so thrilled and excited when it reached $300 so quickly. You have no idea how overjoyed she is that the current total is $2000!!!!
Grace had her haircut on Thursday afternoon. She didn't hesitate at all.
Huge thank you to Liv's Hair Studio for doing such an amazing job of cutting her hair and making it so much fun. Livvy almost donated her services to the fundraising.
As her parents we are so very proud of Grace and extremely grateful for all the support that everyone has given Grace - THANK YOU!
