There has been a link between my hair growth and weight loss. Time to shave the hair and donate to charity!

My name is Graham McDermott and over lockdown, my weight ballooned to 110kgs and I hadn't had a haircut since May 2020. When I moved to Christchurch at Christmas, I decided I wouldn't cut my hair or beard until I was under 90kgs.

That target has been achieved and much to my wife's relief, and as a thank you to my colleagues for their support, I will be the entertainment at our site day on 23 July 2021 by cutting both my beard and hair. No boundaries have been established for the styling of the hair.

I will be raising money with this event to contribute to an as of yet, undefined mental health charity. Recommendations/nominations welcome.

The weight loss journey will continue.
