Haircut for Hospice - A haircut to raise money for Franklin Hospice.
Auckland
On Saturday the 9th of February I will be cutting my hair to raise money for Franklin Hospice.
About 18months ago we lost an amazing women to Cancer, and in her name I would like to raise money for the Franklin Hospice. Gerlaine knew I had raised money for Totara Hospice before, by cutting my hair short, and thought it was a great idea. Then when Gerlaine and her family needed support, Franklin Hospice was by their side.
Gerlaine was an amazing, strong, kind, extremely positive person who could light up the room with a smile, laugh or cheeky remark. She fought extremely hard for even more time with her two young boys and amazingly supportive husband. Unfortunately, she lost her battle in August 2017.
Cancer is something that effects many, also recently taking my Great Uncle Brian, who earnt the title not only with age, but with the amazing person he was thoughout his life. I'd also like to give a special mention to my dad's friend Bernard and all those who have been through Camp Quality and lost their battle with cancer. You are all missed so very much!
Franklin Hospice is supporting a fast growing and aging population. This money will greatly support them.
Thank you so much for your help.
Franklin Hospice were an amazing support when a friend was fighting her battle with cancer about 18months ago. With the growing population on the Franklin area I know they need all the help and support they can get to be able to help others through these thought moments.
