Our challenge! Climb the Mt 38 times in 50 days. Why? Waipuna Hospice need donations for a shortfall of $2.7 million annually.
Bay of Plenty
We are excited to partake in the More FM Mount Everest Challenge to raise money for Waipuna Hospice who offer a free of charge service to those living in our community with an illness for which cure is no longer an option.
Climbing the equivalent of Everest, we will walk/run up the Mt 38 times in 50 days. The challenge starts/ends 9 February/30 March, however we were late to start on 15 February, so we will climb twice on some days to ensure we meet our goal.
We will put regular updates on our progress and are grateful for any donations we receive that will help support such a worthy service that Waipuna Hospice provide.
Your support is greatly appreciated, thank you.
It's win win. Improve our health and fitness, whilst also helping to raise funds for Waipuna Hospice who offer specialist medical care and support services to patients living with a chronic, life-limiting illness, and their families.
25 March - 37 & 38 26 March 2018
Last two climbs, accompanied by our great friend Liz (thanks for your support Liz). It was misty and drizzling but with two days off our legs were fresh again. Since our first climb back in February we both reduced our climb times! Hank by 8 mins (20 mins down to 12) and Karen by 6 mins (23 mins to 17). Proves we are fitter, faster and stronger and thanks to our generous donators have raised some money for a worthy cause. Thanks to everyone who supported us xxx
