On 19 June, several Golden Bay Community Health staff came together to take part in our head shave fundraiser. It was a very special day, and we were grateful to have a reporter from our local paper there to capture the occasion.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported our cause so far. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to raise awareness of Multiple Myeloma and what it means for those affected.

Please continue to share our fundraising page— it really does make a difference. Thank you for your ongoing support ❤️

  • Taking the Leap for Myeloma Awareness

      15 June 2026

As the fundraiser draws closer, one of our staff members reflected on what this experience means to them.

"If I'm honest, I'm quite terrified about shaving my hair. I've never done anything like this before. But the reason behind it is bigger than my fear."

We are doing this in support of those affected by multiple myeloma and to help raise awareness for a disease that many people know very little about.

Golden Bay Community Health would like to thank everyone who has supported us on this journey so far ❤️

  • 10 Days Until We Shave for Myeloma NZ

      10 June 2026

Only 10 days to go until some of our staff shave their hair in support of people living with Multiple Myeloma.

A fact many people don't know: Multiple Myeloma is an incurable blood cancer, and many people live with chronic pain, fatigue, and ongoing treatment for years.

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. Your support is helping raise awareness and funds for a cause that means so much to us. We are fortunate to be part of such a caring and generous community.❤️
