Di's Peak Trail Blazer for HeartKidsHB

I’m the very proud Aunty of 2 teenage HeartKids and after a beautiful friend pointed out to me the PTB was raising funds for Heart Kids HB it was a no brainer to sign up! Scary, but nothing compared to what my nephews, niece, brother in law and sister have gone through over the last 18 years and in particular last 2!

We lost one of those beautiful nephews n February 2016. The pain I witnessed & felt while sitting with my sister, her family and our whole family was just incredible.

18 years ago when my twin nephews were born their heart conditions were realised just a few days into their beautiful lives. Heart Kids helped my sisters family get to Auckland for numerous appointments, procedures and surgeries with vouchers and provided support when back in Hawkes Bay. Heart Kids are a very special bunch! The ones we’ve met during this journey are just amazing kids, battling awful procedures that no child should ever have to!
