Participating in 2026 NAPA Pop-Up Intensive - Porirua, NZ
Wellington
Eric is 20 months old, full of joy, and has the brightest smile but behind that happiness is a big challenge.
Eric was diagnosed with a rare chromosome condition called 2p16.3 deletion. This diagnosis affects his muscle tone and development; he has significant gross motor delays as a result. Simple milestones many children reach without thinking require extraordinary effort for him. Eric is not yet crawling, standing unassisted, or walking.
We are fundraising to send Eric to an intensive therapy program with NAPA (Neurological and Physical Abilitation). NAPA specialises in helping children with neurological and developmental challenges make meaningful progress through targeted, intensive therapy blocks. Early intervention during the most important developmental window can be life-changing for children like Eric.
Our dream is simple: to give Eric the best possible opportunity to build strength, confidence, and independence — and one day take those first unassisted steps.
The cost of intensive therapy is significant. To help Eric access this opportunity, our family is asking for support. Funds raised will go directly toward
• Intensive therapy sessions with NAPA
• Specialist equipment used during therapy
• Ongoing therapy support following the intensive block
Every donation, no matter the size, brings Eric closer to reaching milestones that many take for granted. If you’re unable to donate, sharing Eric’s story means just as much to us.
Thank you for being part of Eric’s journey 🤍
Big Progress in the Smallest Gains 12 April 2026
We wanted to share a little update on Eric and say a truly heartfelt thank you to every single person who has donated, shared, and supported our journey so far. The kindness, generosity, and love surrounding Eric has been overwhelming in the most beautiful way — and it honestly means more to us than we can put into words 🤍
Eric has taken a big step forward in his standing frame — one of his supports has been removed so he can start engaging more of his core. It might seem like a small change, but for Eric, this is huge. Every little gain is hard-earned, and we are so incredibly proud of him!
He has also been assessed and fitted for a Grillo walker (as seen in the photo) which feels like a hopeful step toward greater independence. He’s not quite ready to use it just yet, but he’s working so hard to build the strength he needs — and we can’t wait for that moment.
There are no words big enough to thank you all. Every donation, every share, every message of support is helping Eric move closer to his first steps.
Thank you for standing beside us and being part of this journey. It truly means everything 💛
