Help Kids in Need Keep Moving!

Our care packs are lovingly put together by the Kids in Need team who hand-pick each item based on the child's interests and needs. Packs include clothes, shoes, toiletries, toys, books, stationery and a soft toy. We put together on average 100 packs each month for children in the care of someone other than their parent.

We have seen significant growth in demand for care packs in the last 18 months. Children are being placed in the care of their wider family, often grandparents, who are already experiencing material hardship.

Our care packs provide practical support to each child which helps ease the financial burden of transition into care for the carer. In addition to this when we drop off a pack it creates a connection point and we can then provide ongoing support and advice to families as they navigate their way.

We are putting together more care packs, picking up more donations, delivering to more families and driving more kms than ever before!

Our Ute is being pushed to the limit and we need your help! We need to purchase a van so we can continue to meet the growing demand and pick up donations and drop off care packs all over the Waikato. All donations will go towards the purchase of a van for Kids in Need Waikato.
