Simply Energy is running Round the Bays in 2020 and supporting the Special Olympics while we do it!

Special Olympics New Zealand offers a year-round programme of sports training and competition for children and adults with an intellectual disability. We have over 6000 athletes and 2500 volunteers across the country that participate in 13 Olympic type sports.

One aspect of the Special Olympics is Unified Sports. Unified Sports join people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. It was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding.

​For the 2020 Brendan Foot Supersite Round the Bays, Special Olympics NZ are entering a super inclusive Unified race team, and Simply Energy want to be a part of it! #Choosetoinclude
