Please help 10 year old Daniel to raise money for Kakapo Recovery, to help raise the chicks born in 2019!
Nationwide
Daniel, age 10, has worked hard and saved $77 to help Kakapo recovery this breeding season - $1 for every chick born this year. He is reaching out to other people who care about these incredible, endangered birds, in the hope that he can double the amount he is able to donate to Kakapo Recovery. $154 is a lot of money to a 10 year old!
As his mum, I am hoping that Daniel might be able to raise a whole lot more than that. NZ has recently lost 2 more adult Kakapo, and also 2 new chicks. The disease Aspergillosis is threatening more birds. With a total population of less than 150 birds, every loss is heartbreaking. My son is determined to do everything he can to try and support the cause, until he is old enough to be able to do "real work" for Kakapo Recovery.
Please help him to help these incredible parrots - any donation will be so appreciated, and will encourage a little guy to keep making a difference. My goal for him is to raise 10 times the amount he did.
Thank you!
I am a supporter of Kakapo Recovery and I am setting up this page on behalf of my son, who is committed to raising funds to help the Kakapo this breeding season.
