Every dog deserves a life where they are loved, cared for and protected.
Imagine being chained up all day, with nothing to eat or drink, no shelter, and no idea when you are next going to see someone for food, exercise, or some love. There are many dogs in NZ that are forced to live in appalling conditions day after day, permanently chained and uncared for.
No living creature should have to live like this, which is why we are fighting to end the life-chaining of dogs in New Zealand.
Our team of volunteers specialise in rehabilitating and rehoming life-chained dogs, and we work with other animal shelters to provide a unified response. Through our work we educate, empower and advocate for change.
