Whangarei, Northland

Being a single Mama of three boys, having time, money and access to opportunities and positive male role models has always been a challenge.

Kyan and Axel (Reigns big brothers) were lucky to have been under Whaea Roses wing as primary school kids. This time, Reign has joined the I Have A Dream team under the guidance of Matua Brenz. These incredible IHAD navigators bring a sense of belonging to these tamariki, along with goals, intention, values and mentorship. And let's not even get started on the cool things they get up to!

We are completing 100km walking/run in March to help fundraise for and continue the positive impact I Have A Dream have on these children and wider community.

Hikoi Time  14 March 2025

Kia ora e te whanau!

Today Reigns Crew and Matua Brenz from IHAD had a hikoi around Hatea Loop, getting in their steps for Classic 100.

Since I couldn't be there this arvo, thanks to work, I decided what better way to spend my morning than getting some steps in?!

Around hatea loop I went, got overconfident, and made it up Mount Parihaka.

I may have sent an SOS to mum to get heli lifted out. Much to my disappointment, it did not.

But that's another 9km in the bag for our crew!

Thank you for the aroha and koha so far, please share and bump these numbers even higher!
