Participating in FFC ride for Kidscan
Wellington
Right now, around 157,000 Kiwi kids are living in material hardship. Meaning they’re going to school hungry, cold, or unwell. It’s tough to learn when you’re just trying to get through the day.
KidsCan is changing that, providing food, shoes, rain jackets and health products so kids can focus on learning, not just surviving.
Ten years ago, The Fat Fathers Cycling crew (FFC), hit the road from Christchurch to Queenstown and raised $170,000, helping KidsCan support 800 children across four new schools.
Now, we’re back for Round Two.
In November 2026, we’ll ride from Wellington to Taupō, finishing with the Round the Lake Challenge. This time we are aiming even higher, $200,000 to help 1,000 Kiwi kids.
Every dollar you give fuels the ride and changes a child’s life.
Thank you for backing the FFC and helping level the playing field. All riders are self funding the costs so all money raised will go directly to Kids Can.
We’re riding to raise money for Kidscan and help kiwi kids to learn with food in tummies, shoes on feet, and rain jackets to stay dry.
