  • Thank you Everyone!

I just want to again thank everyone for your kind words and support in this challenge, as well as helping me to raise money for a great cause, you really don't know how much it means to me to have this much support on this.

Running 200km's over the course of the month has been hard, but I have learnt a lot about the value of consistency and planning ahead. I am also really proud to have been able to help support Kidney Health NZ by completing this challenge and raising money for them, this will go a long way in helping them raise awareness of Kidney Disease here in New Zealand!

Well I have now completed this October challenge and have got to the 200km milestone! My ankle injury I picked up half way through this challenge was still causing me some issues right up to the end, but I was able to manage it (without it getting any worse) by sticking to flat runs.

I just want to again thank everyone for your kind words and support in this challenge, as well as helping me to raise money for a great cause, you really don't know how much it means to me to have this much support on this.

Well I have just completed the 18th day in this October challenge and have already accumulated 121km, so I am currently on target at the moment to complete the full 200km by the end of the month! I have had to take 2 days rest due to a slight ankle injury I picked up from Saturdays trail run, but it's feeling much better today so should be good to continue on with the challenge.

I just want to again thank everyone for your kind words and support so far, as well as helping me to raise money for a great cause, you really don't know how much it means to me to have this much support on this.

      12 October 2021
    Main image

Well I have just completed the 12th day in this October challenge and have already accumulated 86km, so I am slightly ahead of my current target at the moment, but this will allow me to have some rest days later in the challenge if and as I need them to recover! I am feeling good so far, I had a few niggles in my knee on todays run due to all the hills I ran this weekend, but feeling generally ok, just taking the runs easy over the next few days!

I just want to again thank everyone for your kind words and support so far, as well as helping me to raise money for a great cause, you really don't know how much it means to me to have this much support on this.
