Henry (Harry) Hubber 1943 Remembrance Ride Christchurch to Invercargill

Eighty years ago on the 29th of October 1943 my grandfather Henry (Harry) Hubber, embark on an incredible journey to set a record riding from Christchurch to Invercargill non stop, 365 miles 587 kilometres. Unfortunately, I never met my grandfather because he battled with mental health.

This year, I Thijs Henry Hubber (Henry's Grandson), on the 29th of October 2023 I am going to replicate this ride and raise money for mental health and connect with my grandfather through experiencing and enduring what he did that day.
