Amazing!
2 May 2023Wow, what a day! So lucky with blue sky, some clouds and very brisk -4(ish) winds up on the high parts. Started off easily enough (to lull me into a false sense of security), then comes the climb, the climb and a bit more climbing. The lakes were totally breathtaking (as was a lot of the hike, literally). Slow and steady with lots of ‘admiring the view’ stops. Down the scree slope was fun, then into the tussock then the bush, lots of different scenery to take in. I was so happy to see the 19km mark, only .4km to go.
Tongariro Crossing was stunning, hard work and fun. So glad to have done and enjoy it.
Thank you Johnston Whānau for all your support and encouragement.
And it is not too late to donate to a worthwhile cause!
I have had 20 cute little balls of fluff through the door this kitten season. It has been such a heart warming and worthwhile experience, and every $$ will help even more kittens next kitten season.
THANK YOU!
