Participating in Sustain 2000 Otara Kai Village November Challenge
Auckland
For the whole month of November The Ōtara Kai Village (OKV) are fundraising to sustain all their Ōtara community projects to remain in place for another two years so that they can continue to support our residents.
As part of that month long fundraiser I have committed to jump in as one of the 50 participants that will be taking on the 100km challenge. Starting on Monday 15 November I will have two weeks to complete this challenge. I'll have to complete 7-8km per day to hit the 100km target. I've just done the math on that and that works out to be roughly 7-8km more than I currently walk a day haha.
I have 100 numbers and if you would like to support me with this challenge then pick a number (or numbers!) and all payments can be made here via my give a little page. (And make sure you message me with your number so I can update the page)
1= $1
2= $2
3= $3
etc.
I can't emphasise enough how much the projects that the OKV do help our community thrive. If they were to close down it would be a sad and huge loss for our residents.
Also, it's not just the OKV you're supporting, as the OKV also run:
❤️ Ōtara Bike Burb
❤️ The Ōtara Mara Kai (Community Garden)
❤️ The Ōtara Youth Drop in Hub & The OLA Youth collective
❤️ My Street NZ Neighbours
❤️ Pataka Kai Open Street Pantries
❤️ A whole lot of events for our community including: language weeks, our light parties, bike raves and more. And not to mention the famous Ōtara Christmas lights, which over the last recent years has increased to close to 40k visitors.
Help us to sustain all our Ōtara community projects for another two years to support our community during the long covid recovery to come.
