Fundraising for New Zealand Horse Ambulance Trust
Christchurch, Canterbury
The support of the NZ Horse Ambulance Trust is an integral part of every race meeting. The security they provide to industry participants knowing that their prized horse will be attended to with the utmost compassion and care is invaluable.
At Addington, our team were looking for ways to support the Trust and challenge themselves at the same time. And what better way, than the Coast to Coast.
Competing for the first time in this sport is CEO Brian Thompson who dons his running shoes, and Property & Facilities Manager John Denton who is pumping up his bike tyres. They are teaming up with IT Manager and seasonal pro athlete Andrew Ross who takes to the water in his life jacket.
You can track their progress on the 2-day team event on 10 & 11 February.
With only 2 days to go the Team are blown away by the support given to the Trust. Thank you everyone. In addition to the generous donations showing on this page, we have received a $1000 donation from Coaster (John) Howe - huge thanks Coaster from everyone!
Update from Team Addington 15 February 2023
What a weekend! We successfully biked, ran and kayaked our way from one coast to another in 16hrs 18mins. There were early morning starts, bike chains coming off, lots of river crossings, and even an unplanned swim! But the challenge of competing was amazing, and we cannot thank people enough for their support, not only for us but for the NZ Horse Ambulance Trust. Bring on next year!
Thanks team!
