A group of high school students doing challenges to raise funds for Paralympics NZ
Auckland
We are a group of Year 9 & 10 Hobsonville Point Secondary School students who have been studying social science and PE. As part of our class we have decided to do various challenges to raise funds and awareness for Paralympics NZ.
Hayden - 10km jog
Finley - 80 pound (approx 36kg) lift
Abby, Amber, Stef - Doing a short workout twice an hour for 8 hours (Push-ups 30sec, high stepping 25sec, cobra stretch 35sec, plank 20sec, jumping jacks 25sec, mountain climbers 30sec)
And many others still choosing a challenge
Challenges will start over the next few days with all being complete by the 20th of November. We know this is a short timeframe but believe we can do it.
Please give generously as all funds are going to Paralympics NZ. Donations over $5 are eligible for tax credits.
Update - We did it! 30 November 2021
After two weeks of training we have all finished our challenges. Most challenges were completed between the 19th-21st of November.
