In 2025, New Zealand hospices are facing a significant funding crisis, with government funding covering only about half of their operating costs. The rest comes from community fundraising activities like this one. My friends and I make regular cash donations to hospice and every year, we gather to undertake an ice bath challenge to raise a lump sum for donation.
