Otago

This year I'm stepping well outside my comfort zone and taking part in the 2026 BNI Otago Ice Bath Challenge to help raise much-needed funds for the incredible team at Otago Community Hospice.

Hospice provides compassionate care and support to people with terminal illnesses and their families throughout our community. Their services make a real difference during some of life's most challenging moments, and they rely heavily on fundraising to continue this important work.

The challenge is simple: learn some breathing and relaxation techniques, then take the plunge into progressively colder ice baths. It's going to be uncomfortable, but it's nothing compared to the challenges faced by the families Hospice supports every day.

If you'd like to support me and help Otago Hospice continue their amazing work, any donation would be greatly appreciated.

Together, we can make a difference for local families when they need it most

BNI Otago Ice Bath Challenge 2026

This is BNI Octagon's fourth annual Ice Bath Challenge fundraiser, taking the plunge for Otago Community Hospice.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
