In memory of our beautiful fathers

Saturday 31st July we will be running a half marathon in Taupo to raise money for our dad's who we lost too soon to Cancer. We would so appreciate your support to help us raise money for this amazing cause - Cancer Research Trust NZ. Thank you from our hearts, Cleo, Kirsty and Ana xx

CLEO: Losing my dad (TC) just over 1 year ago during the height of level 4 lockdown was the most incredibly painful time for my entire family. Cancer took his life in 3 very short months. They say time heals, for me, it just makes me miss my dad more and more, each and every day.

TC got me into running and then duathlons when I was but a wee lass, pouding those Taupo pavements where I was lucky enough to grow up.

It gives me great satisfaction to be able to relive those memories, in Taupo, for my gorgeous father and to be able to support Cancer Research so one day, people do not need to suffer, as my dad did and we as a family having lost him.

KIRSTY: I am super excited to be running the Taupo Half Marathon for such an amazing cause. Cancer touches so many of us in so many different ways and I was one of those very unfortunate ones to lose my dad to the horrible sickness.

My first memories of running is with my dad at the age of 2 - having races up and down the driveway. I then went on to be a competitive swimmer and in later years a triathlete of which dad was my number one fan and supporter (and Mum)!

This run is for you dad 💕

ANA: Daddy, you always inspired me to better myself in everything that I did. On July 31st you will be inspiring me to run my heart out and raise as much money as possible to help support a wonderful cause in Cancer Research NZ. I know you'll be there beside me all the way. I promise to do you proud. I miss you and love you, your Wansy x
